Pale bands on the hindwing of other Pachygonidia species are replaced by two short bars at the anal angle in ribbei. The forewing outer margin is more or less denticulate, and the anal angle is less produced than in other species of Pachygonidia. The pale orangey-brown submarginal patch on M1-M2 is distinct and it is much larger than in any other species of Pachygonidia. The median and lower postmedian areas of the forewing have pale violet scales. CATE
